Author Week

What a fabulous morning Years 5 & 6 had today exploring the imaginary worlds of Jenny McLachlan. She spoke to us about her ‘Land of Roar’ series and her latest title- ‘Dead Good Detectives’.

Along with learning about how she became a writer, we hatched a dragon from an egg, put on a play and invented spells.

It was great fun and the children can’t wait to read more of her books.

Due to Jenny’s increasingly full agenda (a consequence of the rail strikes later on in the week) she has taken books to sign this evening and they will be returned to school later in the week. Thank you for your patience.
